I am a quantitative social scientist and educator specializing in communication and media psychology. I am passionate about promoting rigorous, impactful research at all levels and increasing interest and accessibility in science.
In my free time, I am an avid reader, traveler, contemporary dancer, and cozy video game player. You can find me making coffee at home in Charleston, SC with my partner and my kitten, Ebi.
Academic Background
I am currently a tenure track assistant professor at the College of Charleston.
I hold a PhD in Communication from The Ohio State University, with an interdisciplinary specialization in Cognitive and Brain Sciences.

Teaching
I have extensive teaching experience across strategic communication, methods, and theory. Across these courses, I have taught communication research methods, communication campaign planning, persuasion, advertising effects, social media and digital communication, interpersonal communication, and crisis communication. In particular, I am passionate about teaching research methods and increasing science literacy among my students.
